MANOR I.S.D. CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Manor ISD Child Development Center is located at 600 East Parsons in Manor, Tx. You may contact the director at joyce.herzog@manorisd.net or by calling 278-4267.

We are licensed with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and can care for up to 72 children. We are also certified as a Texas Rising Star Provider because we exceed the state minimum standards. We care for children of teen parents and employees of the Manor ISD district.

We are a full-time facility but do provide half-day care for children of Manor ISD employees or teen parents who are enrolled in the district’s Pre Kindergarten program.

We are open from 6:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. daily to care for staff children. Teen children are here from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. There is an after hours care available between 4:45 – 6:00 p.m. on a first come basis and not available to all. Our facility is open to care for children 190 days of the school year. We are closed on all district holidays and during the summer.

Our classrooms range in age from: Infant (6wks to 17 mos.), Toddler (18 mos. +), Toddler + (2 yrs.+), Preschool (3 yrs. +), and Pre K (4+yrs.).

All staff is CPR certified and takes at least 20 hours of continuing education in the early childhood field yearly.

Program History: Prior to school year 2002-03, the facility was called Excel Day Care. It was a one room classroom and served only children of teen parents. Manor ISD Child Development Center began in August 2003 to serve the families employed with Manor ISD and provide care for their children. We were bursting at the seams. In August 2004, our program moved to its current location so we could increase the number of families being served. Again, in January 2007, to accommodate the increasing needs of the families in our district, the program was enlarged.

Our Center Philosophy is to provide a fun, safe, nurturing, and learning environment that fosters growth in all areas of development for the children and to support their families.

Our Vision Statement is to assist the families of Manor ISD in meeting the child care needs of their families by making available quality care for their children.
